Approved! Coinsquare is the first crypto company to get IIROC’s green light
– Coinsquare is the first crypto-only trading platform to become registered with IIROC.
– The new registration will bring a number of changes to the exchange, including the requirement to fully segregate client assets through a licensed and insured custodian, more stringent operational controls, and the ability to trade on margin.
– The company will not offer products such as bitcoin exchange-traded funds, and clients will still only be able to buy a maximum of $30,000 in crypto assets in most provinces.
– Coinsquare says it serves more than half a million Canadian customers.
